HGEC Special Awards
The special awards are yearly
They are awarded to students and/or volunteers who are role models for others and who contribute to making Hunter Green the wonderful place that it is.
Showing at Hunter Green
Our riding school students and boarders are welcome to participate in our twice a year In House Shows, where the "HGEC" family" gets together for a fun day of showing and friendship.We also participate in several Welsh Pony Breeding, Showmanship and Performance Shows as well as other Schooling and "A" circuit shows.
In House Schooling Shows
The shows are open to ALL HGEC students from beginners to advanced riders.These shows are a great opportunity for students to test their skills in a low stress, fun environment. These shows are also great preparation for those students who are planning to show in open shows.
Each year the classes and divisions we run in our In House Shows are adjusted to ensure that they meet the needs of the students enrolled in the school at the time.
Ribbons or other prizes are awarded for each class. We want to encourage our beginner riders, and to ensure they enjoy showing, so in our beginner and novice divisions, no one leaves the ring without a ribbon. If the competitor does not place in the top six of the class they will receive a Great Effort ribbon.
At each show the top points earner in each Division is awarded the Division Champion Ribbon, with the second highest points earner receiving the Division Reserve Champion ribbon.
